Theological Pastoral Studies for Salesian Brothers

Courses Offered

This is a two-year program designed according to the norms of the specific formation of the Salesian Brother and aimed at providing the lay Salesian preparation appropriate to his specific vocation (SOB const. 116). It comprises courses on “Christian morality, the Theology of consecrated life, deeper insights on the bible and liturgy, aspects of pastoral theology and catechesis, and the social teachings of the Church” (Ratio 10.2.3.1). It further offers the student a deepening in his knowledge of the spiritual heritage of the Salesian Congregation (Special General Chapter 688).

Application Requirements for Non-SDB

  2. Copy of the Original Transcript of Records (TOR) or Certificate of Grades (in pdf file) from the previous school (undergraduate or graduate or Philosophical Studies) and its English translation if the TOR is in a foreign language (PURPOSE: FOR EVALUATION)
  3. Letter of Recommendation from the Local Superior or Formator-in-Charge (for Religious) or Parish Priest (for Catechists) or Current Employer (for employed) or President/Head of Lay Organization (for Lay)
  4. One ID picture (2” x 2”) (jpeg file).
  5. Entrance Examination Fee
 

Additional Requirements for FOREIGN  APPLICANTS

  1. Copy of Certificate of Graduation indicating the Degree Title and Date of Graduation
    (Collegiate Studies/Bachelor’s Degree) (pdf file)

  1. Copy of Course Description from the school last attended.

  1. Original Transcript of Records (TOR) of Collegiate Studies/Bachelor’s Degree from last
    school attended (PURPOSE: For DON BOSCO SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY)
  2. Transfer Credential Certificate / Eligibility to Transfer from the school last attended (for
    local students)
  3. Three [3] copies of 2 x 2 pictures with white background
  4. Copy of any valid ID (Passport / Driver’s License / Professional License or other government issued ID like SSS, UMID or Philhealth ID etc.)
