Training of Formators of Consecrated Life & Seminaries

THIS NEW SCHOOLYEAR 2014-2015 we launch the three-year modular courses for the Training of Formators of Consecrated Life and Seminaries.

During these six semesters most modular courses will be held on Tuesdays from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. However, some modules might need three or four live-out six-hour study days because these might require a continuous and intense processing of theory-and-experience or because the invited expert-facilitator has a short and determined time-frame of availability. Normally these live-out days will be held from Tuesday to Thursday, from 8:30 to 11:30 in the morning and from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. In the program are semestral-break prayer experiences which will be done in live-in format for eight full days in some spirituality center in the country (Tagaytay, Baguio, Guimaras Island or Malaybalay). There are also two elective modules that can be taken in all eighteen Saturdays of every semester. These comprise three hours in the morning, from 8:00 to 11:00. All told, if a person so desires, s/he can accumulate 54 hours of class work, reading and process, equivalent to 3 credits for every semester. In like manner, the elective module taken every Saturday will have 54 hours for an equivalent of 3 credits. Together with other 3 credits made during the semestral break, every year a candidate can obtain a maximum of 15 credits. For the moment, this curriculum is meant for enrichment purposes of the participants. However, it is envisioned that eventually most of these modules will form the core of specialized subjects in order that a candidate may obtain a CHED accredited Masters Degree in Pastoral Ministry.

• Currently engaged in a community of formation
• Working knowledge of the English language
• Submission of intent: 25-29 March 2014
• Submission of two required letters: 03-07 June 2014

CURRENT COURSE

Theology of Vocation & Vocations’ Promotion, Orientation and Accompaniment

“One who acompanies others has to realize that each person’s situation before God and their life in grace are mysteries which no one can fully know from without.”

This will be a thirty-hour course for seven Tuesdays over the months of November, December & Janruary.

Course Facilitator

Fr. Viktor Emmanuel Aurellana, RCJ belongs to the Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus. He graduated with honors (magna cum laude) both for his Bachelor of Arts, Major in Philosophy from the Adamson University, Manila and for his Bachelor of Theology from the Don Bosco Center of Studies, Para?aque. He has gained his Masters Degree in Philosophical Research from the De La Salle University in March 2007 and is currently in the ladderized program of the same University in pursuit of obtaining a Doctorate in Philosophy. Since 2008 to the present he has been engaged in the Academe, as the Dean of Studies of the Rogationist Seminary College of Philosophy and since 2012 as the Director of the Pastoral Institute for Vocation Promotion. This year he was appointed a member of the Academic Committee of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on Seminaries.
