Basic Catechetics (Evangelium)

This is two-year non-degree formation program for those who desire to become catechists in public schools, parishes, and basic ecclesial communities. The course consists of modules given in four semesters that cover faith content, methodology in catechesis, psychology of learner, and spirituality for catechists.

Admission Requirements

  1. Age bracket: 18 to 50 years old
  2. Completion of Senior High School or High School
  3. Diagnostic Test on the Christian Doctrine
  4. Good grasp of the English language
  5. Two (2) copies of 2×2 picture
  6. Letter of Recommendation from Parish Priest or Employer (for Lay)
  7. Diagnostic Test Fee

Additional Requirements for INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS

  1. Photocopy of passport bio-page (showing photo, latest admissions, and authorized stay)
  2. Photocopy of ACR (Alien Certificate of Registration) & CRTS (Certificate of Residence for Temporary Student)
  3. Photocopy of Student or Missionary Visa

Completion Requirements

  • Attendance and participation in all the modules
  • Passing the Written Comprehensive Examination
  • Submission of approved Catechetical Lesson Plans
