Master in Pastoral Ministry
Courses Offered
The Master in Pastoral Ministry (MPM) is a three-year non-thesis program designed to form the following:
- Religion Teachers & Coordinators
- Catechists & Leader in Catechesis
- Youth Ministers & Formators of the Youth Ministers
- Pastoral Leaders of Communities and Prayer Groups
The program aims at professionalizing these people by giving them solid biblical , theological, and pastoral foundation in their chosen field of specialization. They are given basic skills in animating, planning, and organizing the pastoral work in various settings: parish, school, community, groups, and movements.
The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) authorizes the DBST to confer the Civil Master’s Degree (in Catechetics, Youth Ministry, or Family Ministry). Classes are held on Saturdays from 8:00am to 6:00pm.

Application Requirements

- Copy of the Original Transcript of Records (TOR) or Certificate of Grades (in pdf file) from the previous school (undergraduate or graduate or Philosophical Studies) and its English translation if the TOR is in a foreign language (PURPOSE: FOR EVALUATION)
- Letter of Recommendation from the Local Superior or Formator-in-Charge (for Religious) or Parish Priest (for Catechists) or Current Employer (for employed) or President/Head of Lay Organization (for Lay)
- One ID picture (2” x 2”) (jpeg file).
- Entrance Examination Fee
Additional Requirements for FOREIGN APPLICANTS
- Copy of Certificate of Graduation indicating the Degree Title and Date of Graduation

- Copy of Course Description from the school last attended.

- Original Transcript of Records (TOR) of Collegiate Studies/Bachelor’s Degree from last
school attended (PURPOSE: For DON BOSCO SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY) - Transfer Credential Certificate / Eligibility to Transfer from the school last attended (for
local students) - Three [3] copies of 2 x 2 pictures with white background
- Copy of any valid ID (Passport / Driver’s License / Professional License or other government issued ID like SSS, UMID or Philhealth ID etc.)
