On May 18, 2024, DBST celebrated the successful conclusion of the third batch of the Laudato Si Curriculum Environment Trainor (LS CET) program. Spanning an intensive 10 weeks, the program was marked by insightful discussions, hands-on activities, and the building of lasting friendships. This journey has been nothing short of transformative for the participants.
The LS CET program, inspired by the principles of Pope Francis’s Laudato Si’, focuses on cultivating environmental awareness and action among educators, community leaders, and advocates. Over the past 10 weeks, participants immersed themselves in a curriculum designed to deepen their understanding of environmental issues and enhance their ability to inspire change.
The program facilitated a series of thought-provoking discussions led by experts in environmental science, policy, and education. These sessions provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of current environmental challenges and potential solutions. Beyond the academic and practical learning, the program facilitated the building of strong, supportive networks among participants. These lasting friendships and professional connections are expected to continue driving collaborative efforts in environmental advocacy.
The concluding celebration on May 18 was a moment of reflection and joy. Participants and the DBST LS CET team gathered to share their experiences, celebrate their achievements, and discuss future initiatives. As the third batch of the LS CET program concludes, DBST is already looking ahead to the next iteration. The fourth run of the LS CET program is scheduled to begin in September 2024. Plans are underway to expand the curriculum further, incorporating emerging topics in environmental science and sustainability, and to reach a broader audience. The success of this batch has set a high standard, and future programs aim to build on this foundation of excellence.
The DBST’s celebration of the LS CET Batch 3’s conclusion marks the end of an incredible journey of learning and growth. Over 10 weeks, participants have gained invaluable knowledge, developed practical skills, and formed lasting bonds. This transformative experience has equipped them to make significant contributions to environmental education and advocacy in their communities.
