WHITE BELLIED MUNIA

This familiar finch occurs throughout the Philippines in a variety of habitats including forest edge, marshlands, and paddy fields, attaching its globe-shaped nest to a branch. It lives in flocks often with other munia species, and in flight keeps together in tight units. It is brown above, while the tail is bordered with yellow, the belly and mid-breast are white with few black marks. The call is a variety of soft tinkling cheeps.
