At nearly one meter high, this Egret is the largest egret, its size noticeable in flight. The bill is normally yellow but can turn black during mating season. It is common in the Philippines, especially during the Ber months when they migrate from Japan. They are found in all wetlands, and interestingly, they have been seen even during summer, suggesting that they are staying longer to breed.
